The difference of drop shipping and those available at a store is that with drop shipping there is only one stock available for shipping. That is why some marketers have an option for pre-orders in case new stocks are coming but this is another story. Drop shipping is shipped out by a third party of retailers in which the seller of the product will be the one to notify the wholesale for product stocks and once the consumer has paid, it will be then drop shipped. This result to as the seller of the product has never seen or touched the items that have been on sale the internet. Difference between drop shipping and standard retail model is that the seller does not have or own the inventory but the seller is also purchasing the products from a wholesale retailer then fulfill the orders of the consumers.
The good thing about ecommerce drop shipping is that it is possible to invest an ecommerce or online store without having to spend thousand of money compared to a physical set up of stores. Unless your costumer has paid you this is the time that you have to settle for an arrangement of drop shipping the products or items that has been made by your client. Having to have an ecommerce business is easy and quick because you do not handle the physical products. With the use of drop shipping you do not have to think much about the handling of returns or inbound shipping. There is a continuous order of products and stock level is managed, the packing and shipping of the products this is good because you do not have to exert more effort in sending the ordered products to your consumers since someone will have to do it for you. You do also do have to worry about paying a warehouse or managing a warehouse just for those products on stock to stay a little more while before it can be shipped together. This means that as your customers have purchased an order all you have to do is follows up the orders and see if it is already on hand.
Since you do not have to worry about in dealing with the purchase inventory that means your expenses are low and are cost efficient. In fact most drop shipping transactions are managed and or done at home through a laptop and a phone. Managing your business at home is surely more time saving and money as long your internet has good connection then you are always on the go. If you are very in demand with your consumers that is a call for double time with your work, doing the best you can to meet the needs of your customers is a must and doing follow ups with regards to drop shipping is very essential as this can sometimes delay the delivery due to some technicalities.
